Chocolate Chip Skillet Pie
Can be made in a 10” cast iron skillet or
deep dish pie plate
Bake at 350 F for 40-45minutes
Ingredients
Crust
Use your favorite double crust pie recipe. Roll out ALL the dough,
place in of skillet and crimp edges.
Filling
- 1/2 cup Self Rising Flour
- 2 cups of sugar

4 eggs, well beaten

2 sticks butter, melted and cooled

1 cup chopped pecans

2 cups chocolate chips
Preparation
- Mix flour and sugar together. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into prepared pie shell. Bake at 350
for about 40 minutes. Cover edges of pie crust with foil if it begins to darken. Pie will have a slight jiggle only near the center when it is ready. It will continue to set as it cools. Serve with a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of caramel.
